Heike Henning

Heike Henning is Professor of Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy at the Department of Music Education Innsbruck. Her research focuses on choral pedagogy and music pedagogical development research. In addition to her teaching activities, she is a sought-after speaker, choral conductor, and founder and director of the Center for Choral Pedagogical Research and Practice ( ZECHOF ).

Heike Henning (*1974 in Stuttgart) studied church and school music as well as media education and, after completing her doctorate in music education, taught music, instrumental and singing education as well as children's choir conducting for several years at various German universities and music colleges. 
Her research focuses on choral pedagogical practice, instrumental and vocal didactics and general music pedagogical development research.  Since 2015 she has been working as a professor for instrumental and vocal pedagogy at the Mozarteum University in the Department for Music Pedagogy Innsbruck.
